記者從浙江麗水市水利局獲悉，麗水市通濟堰水利灌溉工程已於日前在南韓光州舉行的第22屆國際灌溉排水大會暨國際灌溉排水委員會(ICIC)第65屆國際執行理事會上，被授牌列入首批世界灌溉工程遺產名錄。這也是目前浙江省唯一一家世界灌溉工程遺產。

根據新華網報導，據悉，被列為首批世界灌溉工程遺產名錄共17處，其中，大陸共4處，即浙江麗水通濟堰、四川樂山東風堰、湖南新化紫鵲界梯田及福建莆田木蘭陂。

世界灌溉工程遺產是國際灌溉排水委員會從今年開始首次評選的世界遺產專案，旨在更好地保護和利用古代灌溉工程，挖掘和宣傳灌溉工程發展史及其對世界文明進程的影響，學習古人可持續性灌溉的智慧、保護珍貴的歷史文化遺產。

據了解，世界灌溉工程遺產由各成員國國家委員會組織本國的申報，透過國際灌溉排水委員會國際專家組評審後，在國際灌溉排水委員會國際執行理事會上公布。
