「我不是燒傷　我得的是怪病」

英國18個月大的寶寶本斯(Geraint Burns)外表全身通紅、長滿水泡，如同被火燒般，剛出生不久就要放在保溫箱，每日吃4次藥，跟病魔搏鬥。其實本斯患的是罕見的肥大細胞增生症，身體有過多用來調節過敏反應的細胞，使皮膚變厚，容易生水泡及疼痛。

據英國《每日郵報》報導，溫度變化及食物都會讓本斯起水泡，目前沒藥物可以根治，但到青春期通常會自然痊癒。媽媽想哄他也不敢，怕弄傷兒子的水泡；一心讓兒子赤裸上身舒服一點，但旁人又以為媽媽虐兒，為怕旁人冷言冷語，媽媽便自製卡片到處發送，告訴旁人兒子發生什麼事。

雖然醫學界未知疾病成因，但媽媽一直很自責，懷疑是懷孕時吃花生醬引起，現在最希望兒子到7~8歲時可痊癒，屆時便可以帶兒子出外曬太陽，跟陽光玩遊戲。（施旖婕／綜合外電報導）
