作家靠回憶錄　尋回同父異母姊妹

【綜合報導】美國作家雪兒史翠德(Cheryl Strayed)，去年出版《那時候，我只剩下勇敢:一千一百哩太平洋屋脊步道尋回的人生》(Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail) ，這本書不只讓她成為2012年最暢銷的作家之一，還幫她找回失散已久的同父異母姊妹。

這本書描述雪兒1995年在太平洋屋脊步道徒步旅行的經歷，書中提到6歲生父離開，雖然沒有提及名字，但雪兒對父親的描述，引發另一名女子的共鳴，並驚覺她們的父親應該就是同一人。

這名女子隨後寫信給雪兒，表明自己的身分，雪兒在自己的專欄中公開這件事情，她一直知道自己有個同父異母的姊妹，雖然收到信時她相當驚訝，但她也有預感總有一天能找到她，她們目前還尚未見到面，也尚未通過電話。
