1.2 萬外國人　加入敘利亞反抗軍

根據英國倫敦國王學院恐怖主義專家統計，在短短3年內，已有來自全球74個國家、逾12000名外國人入境敘利亞，與反抗軍並肩作戰。其中60%至70%來自中東國家，以突尼西亞最多。約20%至25%來自西方國家，最多的是法國人。
 
倫敦國王學院國際激進化研究中心主任紐曼（Peter Neumann）教授表示，敘利亞反抗軍動員外國人的規模，僅次於1980年代阿富汗對抗前蘇聯的戰爭，當時約有2萬外國人參戰。
 
紐曼的統計，並未公布其中加入激進組織「伊斯蘭國」（IS）的人數。紐曼表示，這一波外籍人士的動員，到了下一世代，將會成為恐怖主義攻擊。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
