民進黨總統領表登記截止，主席蔡英文是唯一完成登記的參選人。預計最快4月15日，蔡英文就會正式成為民進黨2016總統大選提名人。但她提出的"新政治"，還有致力維持兩岸和平穩定，這些訴求對黨內有凝聚力嗎？對一般民眾具有說服力嗎？

如果說，2012雙英對決，是敗在兩岸政策，那麼2016蔡英文能有什麼突破？反觀國民黨，依照一項媒體民調顯示，無論推誰出來都輸蔡英文。藍營大咖們會如何布局？最後又會由誰出來爭奪總統大位？
