面臨魔獸出走 湖人力保Pau Gasol

美國時間週五下午，Dwight Howard宣佈將會離開洛杉磯，轉而與休士頓火箭簽約，湖人方面對此深感失望。

根據《ESPN》報導，有鑒於Howard的出走，湖人必須無所不用其極的留住Pau Gasol。

Gasol能從4號位打到5號位，並以此著稱。2009年的總冠軍戰，由Gasol坐鎮禁區的洛杉磯湖人，擊敗由Dwight Howard所領軍的奧蘭多魔術。當中存在著一個疑問，就是誰可以勝任大前鋒這個角色，是Metta World Peace、Jordan Hill 或新秀Ryan Kelly，但湖人認為Pau Gasol在中鋒的位置上是渾然天成的，尤其在Mike D'Antoni的進攻戰術中，他打大前鋒的效益明顯不及中鋒。

Gasol合約的最後一年薪資高達1930萬美元，這也是湖人特赦他的原因，如果不這麼做就必須支付豪華稅。消息來源堅稱，湖人將傾全力使他續披紫金戰袍。

諷刺的是，上賽季Pau Gasol和Mike D'Antoni之間存在著誤解與衝突，Gasol傷癒復出的首週，D'Antoni在比賽第四節時總會將其放在板凳，之後更把他定位成球隊的第六人。而現在Gasol即將在球隊體系中扮演關鍵角色，湖人需要他優異的策應能力和戰術執行力。
