【綜合報導】華府當局再度召開記者會，說明槍案最新進展。
 
哥倫比亞特區市長表示包括槍手在內，目前已知死亡人數為13人，美國聯邦調查局(FBI)則表示已經公開身亡槍手照片，呼籲民眾提供更多槍手身份的相關消息。警方持續搜捕另一個可能槍手。

根據美國媒體報導，艾力克斯2010年曾因在家中清理槍枝，不慎開槍射穿公寓天花板，遭警方逮捕。根據軍方紀錄，艾力克斯2007年5月登記為全職海軍後備軍人，直到2011年1月解除軍人身份。
