南區水資源局辦理曾文水庫治理工程，為避免衝擊保育鳥類山麻雀生態，推動工程生態檢核措施，盼維護棲地環境。

經濟部水利署南區水資源局副局長林元鵬今天表示，曾文水庫集水區包含大面積的保安林地及水域，提供良好生態環境；雖然水庫需進行整治，但對於工程所在區域的生態資源維持與保護，南水局仍相當重視。

林元鵬指出，去年進行曾文水庫水域及周邊環境生態資源調查時，發現嘉義縣大埔鄉情人公園旁的草地，有第一級保育類山麻雀非繁殖季聚集棲地，族群數量約為台灣山麻雀族群的5%至10%。

他說，為減少治理工程衝擊山麻雀生態，南水局廣邀相關公部門、學者專家和保育團體商討保育對策，並預計於民國103年至104年將持續進行曾文水庫集水區生態調查及生態檢核工作，後續並將研擬山麻雀調查計畫及復育試驗工作。

林元鵬指出，在「曾文南化烏山頭水庫治理及穩定南部地區供水計畫」中，目前有38件工程辦理生態檢核工作，擬定多項生態保育措施。希望在治理工作能更強化情況下，也能對生態影響減到最輕，以達到資源永續利用。(中央社)
