敘利亞加入化武公約 下月生效

（法新社紐約聯合國總部14日電） 聯合國女發言人麥史特拉奇（Vannina Maestracci）表示，聯合國今天正式接納敘利亞申請加入禁止化學武器公約。

敘利亞於12日申請加入禁止化武公約，此公約禁止生產和儲存化武，並下令銷毀既有化武庫存。但在接納申請前，聯合國的法律專家要求敘利亞政府提供更多資訊。

麥史特拉奇指出，聯合國秘書長潘基文「今天收到敘利亞申請加入這項公約的正式文書」，意味不再存有任何質疑。

她又說，敘利亞將會於10月14日成為這項公約的締約國，也就是正式接納加入申請的30天後。
