胡志強市長在十二月廿五日後即將卸任，卸任後他要做什麼？胡志強今天說，之前因忙著交接、整理，一直留在台中，廿五日理當北上，參加中常會等黨部會議，他還計畫卅一日要帶太太出國休息，「多年來忙碌，難得有機會」。

新市長林佳龍力邀胡參加今年的跨年晚會，「很多規畫是您做的，我會帶著婉如，如果胡市長與夫人也一起出席，這將是最溫馨的畫面！」，他請胡市長考慮。

但胡志強說，很感激邀請，但實際很早就答應要上梨山跨年，另大雅也有鄉親請求，很早已答應，以前當市長要跑很多地方，但現在下任沒有理由不去。

他對林說: 「如果可能會盡量來，來不了也請原諒！」
