隊友守備不幫忙，白襪3A（Charlotte Knights）王建民台北時間9日對紅襪3A先發，只投4局就失掉7分，但只有1分責失，終場白襪3A以8比11輸紅襪3A，建仔吞敗投（11勝7敗）。

王建民的亂流出現在2局上，紅襪3A的Carlos Rivero先敲安打，一出局後，Justin Henry因白襪3A守備失誤上壘，Derrik Gibson擊出安打送回1分，此時白襪3A守備又失誤，接下來建仔被連敲6支安打再失5分，這一局，紅襪3A一口氣攻下6分，隊友守備頻突槌，讓王建民陷入苦戰。

王建民3局上再失1分，投完4局，建仔已用了86球、53個好球，被擊出8支安打失7分，僅1分責失，三振、保送各2次，滾飛球比是5比4，吞下敗投，本季防禦率是3.94。

王建民7月中轉隊到白襪3A，先發5場，戰績3勝2敗、防禦率5。
