本報訊

墾丁國家公園管理處委託的昆蟲相調查研究團隊，在墾丁國家公園內發現世界新種椿象-短角鈍頭(虫春)。

墾丁昆蟲相調查研究團隊由康寧大學博士藍艷秋、台灣大學博士李後晶、中興大學博士李後鋒與日本北海道大學博士蔡經甫所組成。

墾管處表示，新種短角鈍頭(虫春)(Amblycarainnocens Tsai & Redei, 2014)，目前只在台灣墾丁國家範圍內南仁山、欖仁溪及社頂等處發現，在國外則只在菲律賓巴拉望島現蹤，這項研究成果，由蔡經甫與中國南開大學瑞德（David Redei）發表在布拉格國家昆蟲博物館學報(Acta Entomologica Musei NationalisPragae)。

墾管處表示，在發表新種之前，鈍頭(虫春)屬唯一的物種為長角鈍頭(虫春)(A. gladiatoria (Stal,1876))，分布在印度、斯里蘭卡、柬埔寨、馬來西亞、日本琉球群島、菲律賓巴拉巴克島、印尼新幾內亞、巴布亞新幾內亞、澳洲、新喀里多尼亞、斐濟。

墾管處說，短角鈍頭(虫春)數量稀少不常見，推測族群只侷限分布在亞洲與太平洋地區熱帶森林中。(中央社)
