惹議千年檜木　溪頭低調展示

阿里山區兩棵年約1500歲的紅檜神木，5年前不敵八八風災時逾2800毫米的暴雨而傾倒，去年台大實驗林管處人員進行林班巡視時發現，兩樹倒臥在台大實驗林林班地內、新中橫公路上方坡地，為顧及交通安全，克服重重困難，上月15日將兩棵神木運至南投縣台大溪頭自然教育園區存放，一度引起信義鄉原住民抗議，要求歸還神木，台大將兩棵神木命名為「蒼生」和「赤子」，上月26日舉辦音樂會低調開幕展示，民眾圍繞著神木，讚嘆說：「哇！好香喔，這兩棵樹上千歲了。」（楊靜茹／南投報導）
