超過7千萬隻抗疫殺手蚊　已秘密在2國實驗

英國Oxitec實驗室強調，基因改造後的「殺手」白紋伊蚊只會滅蚊，不會影響人類健康，目前已經在巴西與開曼群島進行實驗，沒有收過居民不適的報告。

該公司2012年在開曼群島半年內放出330萬隻「殺手蚊」，實驗結果大成功，聲稱殺滅「目標昆蟲」多達96%。稍後Oxitec又在巴西實驗，同樣取得成功，兩國均向該公司要求擴大實驗範圍。

公司強調，只會挑選雄性「殺手蚊」到戶外與雌蚊交配，而雄蚊是不會叮咬人類的；即使真的被叮咬，改造蚊子的基因也不會進入人類血液中，不會危害人類健康。

其實Oxitec至今已放出超過7000萬隻「殺手蚊」到多個國家，並鼓勵居民假如發現被咬後出現異狀，就立刻向當局報告，但至今都沒有收過相關報告，認為「殺手蚊」既能有效滅蚊，又不會對人類或其他動物造成影響。（於慶中／綜合外電報導）
