張家祝出身交通 深獲馬江信任

交通學者背景出身的經濟部長張家祝，長期獲總統馬英九信任與重用，不過在這次高雄氣爆案中，成為地方與中央政治角力的暴風中心，他在書面聲明中把話說得很白，因為遭在野黨羞辱，感慨台灣政治環境惡劣，「國家前途極為堪憂」經濟停滯不前，才會興起不如歸去。

張家祝過去以交通專長的背景獲政府延攬，曾歷任交通部次長、中華大學校長等職務，馬英九上任後，更延攬他一路接任中鋼董事長、華航董事長等要職，在江宜樺接任行院長後，張家祝更因馬江希望借重他過去擔任CEO的豐富經驗，接下經長改革國營事業。
