民進黨主席5月25日改選，今天是開放登記參選黨主席第一天，就在外界關注民進黨內三顆太陽動向的時刻，民進黨主席蘇貞昌卻一早在臉書上po文表態不再參選黨主席，表態要參選黨主席的的蔡英文與謝長廷未來動向如何，備受關注。

蘇貞昌說，現在學運方興未艾，2014終結核四重任當頭，距離11月大選只剩下幾個月，要打贏2014，力量不能散，黨不能先亂，少一次廝殺，黨就少一分傷害，在蔡英文與謝長廷已經表達參選意願情況下，作為現任主席，幾經斟酌，決定不參選此次黨主席選舉。

蘇強調，新一波民主浪潮已經到來，人民不會等待民進黨，唯有與人民做夥，黨才有未來。不忍撕裂，所以放手，退後一步，海闊天空，為台灣打拼，永不改初衷。（吳家翔／台北報導）
