意涵「殺死猶太人」　西國小鎮擬公投改名

西班牙一個小鎮的鎮名帶有「殺死猶太人」的意思，市長建議舉行投票，讓全體村民決定是否改名。

西班牙北部萊昂區的卡斯特里略馬塔胡迪奧斯（Castrillo de Matajudios），名字中「mata judios」可翻譯為「殺猶太人」的意思，但在當地同時被解作「檸檬雜飲」，尤其在復活節等節日和派對上經常用到。

市長羅德里格斯指，鎮名自1478年沿用至今，該地區於1035年及1109年發生屠殺猶太人的黑暗歷史，他說︰「人們大多不知道這個字的歷史，並已融入地方文化中，這是一個複雜問題。」他建議將鎮名改為較不具爭議的「Mota de Judios」意即「猶太人山」，60名居民周六將投票表決是否改名。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
