「2014年新竹縣客家新曲獎」將於4月1日起接受報名，新竹縣長邱鏡淳今天說，希望藉此開創客家音樂下一個新章。

邱鏡淳表示，新竹縣才辦完傳唱半世紀的客家山歌比賽，今年參與人數盛況空前，客家人天性堅韌耐勞，一首簡單的客家山歌即可抒發情感、排解生活壓力，從老至少，人人都可以哼上一曲，更讓大家團結一心。

邱鏡淳說，為了推廣客家音樂，不分族群都能透過客家歌曲了解、喜愛客家文化，「新竹縣客家新曲獎」默默耕耘了18年，希望客家音樂可以淵遠流長，借重眾人的智慧，開創客家音樂下一個新章。

文化局說，今年度比賽方式，徵選項目有「最佳客家創新歌詞獎」、「最佳客家山歌歌詞獎」、「最佳客家創新歌曲獎」、「最佳客家合唱新曲獎」，歌曲類獎項可選用歷屆歌詞、歌曲為題材，期待透過各方優秀的音樂人才的激盪，創作出更非凡的客家好歌曲。報名日期從4月1日至6月30日止。(中央社)
