國旗風波提前返美　沈呂巡父喪沒見到最後一面

之前因為元旦升旗事件，提前返美的我駐美代表沈呂巡，因為父親沈祖湜（音同時）過世，將在近日返台奔喪。據了解，沈父生病已久，沈呂巡上次返台赴立法院報告台美關係，本來計畫留到本月12日，但卻因為元旦升旗事件引發美方不滿，高層要求沈提早返美溝通，錯失了與父親多相處的時光。據了解，沈呂巡在擔任駐日內瓦辦事處處長時，父親不幸中風，長期臥病在床，沈的弟弟還結束在海外的工作回到台灣專心照顧父親。外交部表示，沈呂巡這1、2天就會請假返台，專心處理相關事宜。（陳郁仁／台北報導）
