我國羽球「一姊」戴資穎再寫歷史新頁，稍早在總獎金100萬美元的超級系列賽總決賽以直落2解決南韓對手成池鉉，勇奪年度大站女單金杯，成為首度在此項賽事奪冠的台灣選手。

小戴開賽就打得順手，網前小球的手感極佳，以11：3的懸殊差距進入第一次技術暫停，領先分數雖一度被追到3分差，仍以21：17拿下首局。

第二局換場，成池鉉失誤率仍居高不下，小戴同樣以大比分差距11：5進入第一次技術暫停，最終就靠成池鉉回球出界，以21：12拿下比賽勝利，笑納8萬美元的冠軍獎金。
