麥卡錫轉隊洋基大轉運　完封太空人

轉隊到洋基之前，麥卡錫(Brandon McCarthy)僅有3勝10敗，防禦率5.01的成績，但來到洋基之後，8場先發，奪下5勝2敗，防禦率是超低的1.90，成為洋基的勝利保證。今天面對太空人，麥卡錫投出無四死球完封勝，幫助洋基以3比0擊敗響尾蛇。
 
麥卡錫先發9局，僅被擊出4支安打，飆出8次三振，投出今年代表作。他說：「我再度找回了我的信心，我覺得我有能力處理任何狀況，也開始相信自己。」
 
洋基失去田中將大之後，麥卡錫的優異表現，儼然就是新王牌。總教練喬拉第(Joe Girardi)說：「他真的表現很棒，從他來到這裡的第1場起，麥卡錫就是表現得這麼好。」
 
洋基在第2局展開攻勢，接連3支安打，攻下2分，再靠著鈴木一朗的高飛犧牲打，攻下第3分。即便全場也僅攻下這3分，但對麥卡錫來說已綽綽有餘。（王翊亘／綜合報導）
