泰國反政府示威者，封鎖首都行動第二天，開始向曼谷的中央政府神經中樞集結，雖然他們宣稱要癱瘓這個一千兩百萬人口的大都市，但是曼谷多數地方，生活如常，昨天停課的許多學校，恢復上課，商業活動也照常運行。

這回行動把目標放在逼迫當局取消二月二號的國會選舉，而且要盈拉政府自己下台，因為在野勢力非常清楚，比選票，它們絕對贏不了。

盈拉政府還在設法與抗爭勢力接觸，希望談出一個雙方都能接受的妥協方案，不過群眾領袖堅持不談判。分析認為，泰國的政治危機，和平解決的可能性愈來愈低。
