日女均壽 世界第1

日本官方調查顯示，2012年日本人平均壽命女性是86.41歲，重新奪回世界第1寶座。男性是79.94歲，創下日本新高紀錄，平均壽命世界第5。

日本女性暌違2年奪回世界第1寶座。男性平均壽命第1名是冰島80.8歲。

相較前1年，日本男性平均壽命增長0.50年，女性增長0.51年。分析原因，2011年受到311東日本大震災的影響，平均壽命降低，2012年則自殺者人數減少。

平均壽命是統計某一年所誕生的0歲孩童可活幾年的預測值。2012年誕生的孩童，因為癌症、心臟病、腦中風3大死因而死亡的機率，男性逾5成，但女性繼2011年之後，死亡機率持續下降。

如能克服這3大死因，估計男性平均壽命可增長7.37歲、女性增長6.17歲。

2011年日本女性平均壽命低於香港，退居世界第2，失去了連續26年保持世界第1的寶座。日本女性平均壽命的最高紀錄是2009年的86.44歲。
