研調：智慧手機面板朝WQXGA高規發展

市場研究機構NPD DisplaySearch指出，智慧型手機應用面板正持續朝向解析度WQXGA（2560×1440）高規格發展，根據JDI、LGD等高階手機面板供應商2014年規劃，許多面板廠商都計畫分別推出5.5吋、6.0吋、6.5吋WQXGA解析度高規手機面板，其像素密度將分別達到534ppi、489ppi、452ppi等等。

而根據NPD DisplaySearch稍早所發表的2013 Smartphone and Tablet PC FPD Product Roadmap Report（2013年智能手機與智能平板面板藍圖報告）資訊顯示，包括FHD（1920x1080）/WUXGA（2560x1660）高解析度手機面板滲透率將由2013年的9.7%、快速提升至2016年達40.7%。

不過，手機面板進入全清高Full HD時代，首先要克服的是產能問題。預估2014年整體LTPS低溫多晶矽TFT-LCD液晶面板總產能約達388K平方米/月，而2014年採用LTPS TFT-LCD面板的智慧型手機出貨量可能達到3.59億台。若生產良率達到85%、切割效率達90%，屆時6吋LTPS TFT-LCD面板的每月供應量約達2800萬片，雖然供需仍緊俏，但應可支應旗艦機種需求。

另方面，除了面板以外，分析師強調，對高解析度顯示器來說、最重要的關鍵元件還包括驅動IC。包括高通和聯發科(2454)都已宣布到2014年將推出支援8 lanes MIPI  interface的WQXGA智慧型手機顯示的處理器。
