暌違三十一年之久，「南方之星」終於又在NHK紅白歌唱大賽登場，他們演唱的曲目卻引起了社會各界議論紛紛，究竟為何？
在去年電視直播中，桑田佳祐以小鬍子造型在橫濱的跨年演唱會登場，他所演唱的歌曲是「和平與極右（Peace and Highright）」
在以各國語言書寫的「和平」文字影像的背景中，桑田以有些戲謔的方式演唱。
