103學年度高中籃球聯賽八強複賽25日在高雄中學體育館開戰，首戰宜蘭高中從落後14分神奇追平，可惜最終因年輕球員誤判局勢，以64：66惜敗勁敵泰山高中。

宜中第4節最多落後14分，不過隨後忽然施展全場壓迫，讓泰山後衛頻頻失誤，「突襲」拉出8：0攻勢。

最後14.4秒，宜中李烜德投進兩分球，將戰局追平，但此時紀錄台遲遲未加上分數，黃彥博一時情急犯規，讓泰山張峻庭站上罰球線，罰進致勝兩罰。

賽後，黃彥博自責到難過落淚，「那時候一直看教練跟紀錄台反應，有點搞不清楚狀況，很後悔犯那一規。」

黃彥博透露，今年和泰山在各種盃賽交手，幾乎都慘輸30分以上，「很想贏他們啊，實力根本沒差那麼多。」他拭著淚說。
