一名男子在東湖釣到一條長約5公分、全身透明的魚，內臓清晰可見，只有頭部兩隻眼睛與尾部呈現黑色。男子及眾釣友直呼『沒見過』，不知道是什麼魚。

根據荊楚網報導，武漢水產所研究人員仔細察看後介紹，這是銀魚。這種銀魚體長透明，分佈於長江中下游及附屬湖泊。該魚味道鮮美，是極富鈣質、高蛋白、低脂肪的魚類，基本沒有大魚刺，適宜小孩食用。
