歐洲每年聖誕節前最大盛事，恐怕就是西班牙的「大胖子樂透」(El Gordo)開獎了，每年都會引來大批民眾集體下注的大胖子樂透，今年的總彩金高達25億歐元(約台幣966億元)，十分可觀。當地時間周一(22日)順利開出大獎獎號「13437」，共有10注各可獲得40萬歐元(約台幣1546萬元)彩金。

被形容為「聖誕老人提早送上禮物」的大胖子樂透，對受到經濟持續衰退的西班牙民眾來說，十分受到重視，當地媒體在開獎前紛紛以「不買保證沒機會贏」為口號，替彩券做宣傳。開獎後有得獎者確認自己種了頭獎，在街頭興奮莫名狂歡。（於慶中／綜合外電報導）
