印尼一間公立學校被指招生時，要求女學員接受處女檢查，內政部長古莫羅（Tjahjo Kumolo）驚悉事件後，正設法緊急阻止有關做法。

德新社報導，陷入醜聞的公共管理學院，專門招收有意成為公務員和地方官員的學員，但近日學校爆出招生時，要求女學員接受「驗處」。古莫羅驚悉事件後，重申女性除了發生性行為，也可能因意外失去貞操，認為能幹的女性因此不能獲取錄太可惜，因此正尋求取消這項檢查。

除了該學院，印尼警隊也被人權組織批評招募女警時，要求應徵者接受「驗處」，但當局強調檢查是為了確保她們沒有染上性病。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
