美國谷歌公司２２日推出首輛完整的全自動無人駕駛汽車樣車，即將在加利福尼亞州進行上路試驗。

根據新華網舊金山報導，谷歌研發的全自動無人駕駛汽車沒有方向盤、油門及剎車踏板和換擋裝置，完全透過軟體和感測器進行自動駕駛。

谷歌今(2014)年５月表示，其無人駕駛汽車專案正在向無需人為干預的全自動方向發展，當時谷歌展示了一輛全自動駕駛汽車的早期樣車，沒有車燈。新推出的完整樣車與早期樣車看上去外觀相似，簡潔小巧，僅能容納兩個乘客。

谷歌２２日在其官方博客中說，過去半年裡，谷歌製造了多輛樣車，每輛都是為了測試自動駕駛汽車的不同系統，包括轉向、剎車等傳統的汽車零件，以及電腦、感測器等自動駕駛零件。首輛完整的全自動駕駛汽車樣車整合了所有這些零件。

谷歌表示，在進行道路試駕時，谷歌的試乘員仍將在車上『坐鎮』，必要時人工干預駕駛。

包括加利福尼亞州在內，美國有４個州允許無人駕駛汽車依法上路，但規定車上應有司機隨時應對緊急情況。
