美官員評佔中　「真選舉增特首合法性」

人大常委昨日公佈特首選舉框架。美國一名拒絕透露姓名的官員，回應港人計劃發動「佔領中環」運動時表示，華府支持香港的傳統，以及基本法所保障、國際認可的自由，包括和平集會自由和言論自由。該名官員表示，如果選舉能給予香港人真正並能代表選民意願的候選人選擇，特首的合法性將大大提升。

該名官員說，美國明白昨日的宣佈，只是香港政改達至最終決議的其中一步，將繼續留意發展。（大陸中心／綜合外電報導）
