傳說女兒的另一半會有父親的影子，英國1名女子親自體會到了。該名女子的丈夫與爸爸都想變成女性，讓她突然間多了2個「姐妹」。

據英國《鏡報》報導，現年21歲的派瑞（Lleahan Perry）在15歲時，繼父向她坦承自己有變裝癖，並且開始服用女性荷爾蒙，幫自己取名叫海倫。懂事的派瑞表示，支持父親勇於做自己，不需要活在謊言中，贊成父親的決定。

在派瑞20歲時，她的未婚夫派倫特（Christopher Parent）也告訴她，想要當女生，讓派瑞十分震驚。派倫特與未來岳父深談過後，決定2人要一起去動變性手術。

派瑞並沒有因此取消婚約，並趕在未婚夫變性前懷孕。2人本月也在法國完成婚禮，因為少數親友知道派倫特變性的事情，所以婚禮上他仍然穿著男性西裝出席。

派瑞並不排斥丈夫和父親變性，她表示在丈夫身上看到父親的影子，與丈夫的性生活也很美滿。
