【於慶中／綜合外電報導】全球氣候異常，澳洲東南部受熱浪侵襲，部份地區測得超過攝氏46度高溫，引發森林大火，至少一人死亡。另外，炎熱天氣使當地居民用電量增加，電量負荷過重恐將觸發停電危機。

受影響的州份包括維多利亞、南澳和新南威爾斯等，高溫天氣加上乾燥，這些州份已陸續發出山火警告。另外，維多利亞省能源部長表示，隨著居民用電量增加，對電力供應形成壓力，十萬戶家庭和商業大廈將面臨停電或局部供電危機。

而周四(16日)在墨爾本舉行的澳州網球公開賽，也因炎熱天氣需要暫停部份賽事。有墨爾本網友為了展示熱浪的威力，在戶外擺放一顆巧克力，結果巧克力不到一分鐘就完全溶化，並發出好像油炸食物的「滋滋」聲。氣象局預料，東南部今明兩天的氣溫仍會持續上升。
