【蔡裕隆／台北報導】NBA球星「魔獸」霍華(Dwight Howard)，昨天晚上無視潭美颱風襲台，仍風雨無阻地為座落於台北信義區的adidas 101籃球公園舉行開幕儀式，只是礙於場地濕滑，霍華未能以招牌「超人灌籃」為開幕式造勢，只以簡單的雙手灌籃，開啟籃球公園全新的籃球設備。
 
adidas 101籃球公園位於寸土寸金的信義路與莊敬路口，光地價就近24億，堪稱全台最昂貴籃球場，正好和霍華甫和火箭簽下的4年8800萬美元(約26.4億台幣)合約相互輝映。霍華昨天欣賞開幕式的大鼓陣與舞龍陣，整個人high起來，玩興大起舉著龍球引領舞龍陣，逗得現場無畏風雨的球迷樂不可支。
