風切大近陸地　氣象局估潭美應維持輕颱強度

【張勵德／台北報導】根據最新觀測資料顯示，潭美颱風的暴風圈半徑有略微擴大的現象，從原本的150公里擴大至180公里。氣象局資深預報員羅雅尹指出，由於潭美的暴風圈擴大，氣象局也將陸上警戒區域擴大至台中以北、南投及宜蘭、花蓮等地區，提醒民眾特別留意。
 
羅雅尹說，由於台灣附近風切大，加上潭美逐漸接近陸地，預估未來在增強機會有限，潭美在接近台灣時應會維持輕度颱風的強度，但其挾帶的水汽相當豐沛，對西半部山區恐帶來超大豪雨以上的降雨，尤其台中、南投及嘉義山區總雨量上看1100毫米，山區民眾要特別注意暴雨釀災。
