吃禁藥的大聯盟球員們，聽清楚，球員工會執行長Michael Weiner宣示，要是吃藥證據確鑿，工會會要求涉案球員妥協。
「要是球員違反禁藥規定，罪證確鑿，我們不會保護那些球員，」Weiner說，「那麼做，不符合大部分球員的利益。我們希望比賽可以乾淨。」
雖然Weiner沒有點名，但這些話應該是說給Alex Rodriguez、Ryan Braun等球員聽的，他們涉及「邁阿密禁藥風雲」，可能遭到大聯盟禁賽。
雖然Weiner宣稱，工會不當涉案球員的避風港，但該爭取的，還是會替球員爭取，比如說，「禁賽場數」就是可能的角力舞台。
