紅襪隊投手Clay Buchholz何時復出？關係著哪一隊能從「火藥庫」美聯東區出線。要是他還沒完全好，紅襪隊就得更認真去搶Matt Garza。
Buchholz右邊肩膀出狀況，自6月8日後脫離戰線，已經一個半月沒能上場。這段期間，他試圖靠消炎藥解危，但情況似乎沒有好轉，14日他投完牛棚後，還是覺得痠痛。19日Buchholz將接受檢查，確認情形。
「真的很受挫，但只能靜心等，這就是我現在的處境。」Buchholz說，「經過明星賽這段休息後，希望我明天就能開始練投，一切都能好轉。」
然而現實畢竟不是那麼美好。「要是可以的話，我希望能告訴大家，Buchholz什麼時候才能重回球場，」紅襪隊教頭John Farrell說，「我們真的希望他今年能夠復出。」
「有件事情得說清楚，那就是，沒有人比Buchholz更沮喪。他鬥志高昂，明白球隊現況，因此希望及早重回戰線。但在此同時，他的身體狀況卻不允許。」 (接下一頁)
