法國嘲諷刊物《查理週刊》7日遭3名恐怖分子闖入持槍攻擊，造成12人死亡，震驚全球。曾遭911恐怖攻擊的紐約市在槍擊案後加強警戒，紐約市警察局長也要求新聞機構要多加注意安全。

最近被連續槍擊案忙的不可開交的紐約市警察局長布瑞頓（Bill Bratton）直指襲擊法嘲諷刊物《查理週刊》的行徑是訓練有素的人員進行的大屠殺。

紐約市長白思豪(Bill de Blasio)也對遇害者表達哀悼，在一場新進員警宣誓儀式前，也帶領員警默哀致意，並說12位遇害者是「英雄」！

紐約市警察局反恐主管米勒（John Miller）表示，巴黎恐怖攻擊凶手相當冷血。歹徒擁有強大火力，而且是有計畫的。紐約市反恐單位已進行必要的重新部署動作，但他未揭露細節。

對於是否提升法國駐紐約總領事館的維安等級，紐約市警局目前仍未作出決定。
