台維斯盃亞大區第一級保級戰台、韓大戰，第4點單打我國30歲老將陳迪帶傷上陣對上世界第180南韓18歲一哥鍾賢，雙打在日正常中鏖戰近3小時，前四盤雙方以0比6、6比3、7比6(3)和3比6平手，惜陳迪在第五盤以0比3落後下，為了顧全即將要打仁川亞運下，決定忍痛棄賽，讓南韓以1比3堤前拿下勝利，將下來我國將在10月24至26日與紐西蘭打保級戰，決定是否能繼續留在亞大區第一級的關鍵戰。(詹健全／高雄報導)
