洋基今天在對印地安人賽前，表揚球隊90年代的球星Paul O'Neill，他也將進入洋基球場著名的紀念碑公園。

Paul O'Neill是在1992年被紅人交易到洋基，那年洋基的戰績76勝86敗，從1996到2001年，洋基只有1年未能在美聯奪冠，當中拿下4次世界冠軍。

總計在洋基9年的時間，Paul O'Neill打擊率3成03，打出185支全壘打，858分打點，4度獲選明星賽，1994年以3成59的成績拿下打擊王。

今天賽前的儀式，Paul O'Neill跟家人，之前的隊友，還有洋基前總教練Joe Torre，一同欣賞大螢幕播放他的生涯精采回顧。

「今天看到大螢幕的畫面，沒有三振，沒有失誤，全部都是好的表現，」Paul O'Neill說，「這也就是打棒球這麼有趣的原因。」
