Derek Jeter在第六局打出內野安打，生涯安打數來到3431支，超越Honus Wagner，不過這場比賽，洋基是0比3敗給印地安人。

第六局Derek Jeter是洋基首名上場的打者，他從印地安人投手Corey Kluber打出軟弱的內野滾地球，但游擊手Jose Ramirez空手要把這個球撿起來沒有成功，讓Derek Jeter安全上到一壘。

早就宣布今年球季打完就會退休的Derek Jeter，目前安打數史上單獨排名第六，排名第五的Tris Speaker是3515支，Derek Jeter還差84支，要在球季結束前追上這個數字有困難。

印地安人先發Corey Kluber今天表現精采，6局只被打4支安打，投出10次三振，一直到第四局1人出局之後，才讓Jacoby Ellsbury打出今天洋基全隊的第一支安打。

Corey Kluber拿下6連勝，最近的4次先發，31.1局的投球只有1分的自責分。

Brandon McCarthy來到洋基之後的第六場先發，第一次吞下敗戰，他在第三局被球打中右腳，不過還是留在場上，投了6.1局才退場，他今天被打了7支安打，失掉兩分。
