【綜合報導】今年30歲的新加坡女子慧如，因為初級學院(約等於台灣的高中)時期被交往4年的男友劈腿，從此自暴自棄，原本體型修長的她開始暴飲暴食，完全不控制，幾年前最重時達到302公斤，最近較穩定在219公斤，被人嘲笑是「大象」，她的父親苦勸她無效，也覺得丟臉，叫她關在家裡別再出門，還一度氣得要把她送出國。

慧如一餐要吃30塊炸機、5份印度煎餅和2大杯「恐龍美祿」(新加坡當地喝法，在沖泡好的美祿飲品中再加幾大勺不溶化的美祿粉)，十多年下來體重直線上升，她在接受當地《新報》訪問時說，失戀時她選擇吞下一桶一桶的冰淇淋，「冰淇淋的甜和冰涼可以舒緩我心中的痛，巧克力也會讓我覺得開心、放鬆」，直到她在一次聖誕派對上被當眾嘲笑是「大象」，她才警覺自己變了。
