【更新】遭襲雜誌社風格引爭議　曾拿穆罕默德開玩笑被炸

遇襲的法國左派政治諷刺雜誌《Charlie Hebdo》一向惹火，2011年出版阿拉伯之春專輯，更拿回教先知穆罕默德開玩笑，「請」他擔任雜誌客席「編輯」。雜誌社隨後遭投擲汽油彈縱火，發行人相信有人不滿雜誌的新專輯而報復。

香港《蘋果》報導，2012年，《Charlie Hebdo》再挑火頭，刊登猶太祭司為回教先知穆罕默德推輪椅等多張漫畫，當局除了出動防暴警察駐守雜誌社外，駐20國的大使館和學校亦要關閉。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
