尋地球雙胞胎 NASA史上最逼近目標

（法新社邁阿密6日電）天文學家今天宣布發現環繞恆星適居帶的8個新行星，並說這是美國國家航空暨太空總署（NASA）有史以來最接近尋找類似地球的行星。

天文學家在華盛頓州西雅圖舉行的美國天文學會會議上說，8顆行星中有2顆是目前已知在我們所屬太陽系外，最像地球的行星。

天文學家表示，這兩顆行星的表面可能很堅硬且多岩石，且運行恆星的軌道距離，可能讓這些行星的溫度對液體存在而言，不至於太冷或太熱，也可能有生命存在。

這次的發現使已知和地球大小類似且據信在恆星適居帶環繞的行星數量，增加1倍。

克卜勒科學辦公室（Kepler Science Office）的馬來利（Fergal Mullally）說：「我們現在比以往都更接近找到環繞另一顆恆星的地球雙胞胎。」

本次斬獲是在NASA尋找類地行星克卜勒任務協助下完成。克卜勒是個太空望遠鏡，自2009年發射以來，已在我們的太陽系外找到超過15萬顆恆星。（譯者：中央社張詠晴）
