2014年汽油價格下跌美國人節省了達140億美元

根據汽車與旅遊集團AAA指出，2014年，因汽油價格下跌，估計美國人較2013年節省了140億美元。

因美國有3.2億人，這相當於每人節省43.75美元，或每家節省115美元。

AAA說，節省的錢大多來自最後幾個月，2014年初，汽油價格則上漲。這意味在耶誕節前，節省最為明顯。「許多駕駛每次加油，便較去年同期節省了15到30美元，」AAA在聲明中說。

平均汽油價格於4月28日觸及高點，達每加侖3.70美元，至周三又大跌了39%至每加侖2.26美元，創今年低點，亦為自2009年5月12日以來低點。

今年平均每加侖汽油為3.34美元，2013年為3.49美元。

AAA說，2015年，若原油價格守於低點，節省可能更多，達550億至750億美元，每人約234美元。
