被視為料理佳餚的魚翅，往往讓鯊魚成為饕客嘴下的犧牲者。鏡頭來到香港，亞洲最大的 鯊魚展在香港開幕，而同時香港也是世界最大的魚翅貿易中心，不過在鯊魚保育人士的努 力下，去年對鯊魚的需求，發生驚人的下降。 深圳企業主管 Kiko：「如果越來越少的人吃魚翅的話，那殺魚的人也會越來越少，那就 可以保護這個動物。」 世界自然基金會報告顯示，香港的進口魚翅品數量，從前年的8,285噸降至去年的5,412噸 。 當地一些餐館、航空公司，甚至香港政府已經禁止魚翅湯登上菜單。 海洋公園董事局主席 盛智文：「魚翅消費大幅度下降，包括香港及其周邊地區。不幸的 是，中國仍是魚翅的最大消費國！我想目標是100％消除這種消費，讓吃魚翅的現象不復 存在。」 在廣東等地區的飲食中，鯊魚鰭最常用於製作魚翅湯。這被一些人視為身份的象徵，尤其 在諸如婚禮等活動中更加常見。 影音:http://youtu.be/7egJlVbDHts
