火山噴發 日本小島面積增5倍

日本小笠元群島中的西之島，因為火山噴發流出的熔岩，形成新的土地，面積擴大了五倍，由於火山活動還在持續，西之島有希望繼續長大。

西之島附近的一座火山，去年底開始噴發，熔岩形成了一個新島，沒有多久就與西之島相連，東大地震研究所學者推算，從去年十一月到今年四月，火山大概噴出了兩千五百萬立方公尺的熔岩，體積相當於東京巨蛋二十倍。（圖片取材自網路）
