家中髒亂如地獄　男童腳割傷感染死

2012年七月下旬，澳洲墨爾本1名5歲男童，腳上大拇趾在家裡被一個打開的貓罐頭割破一個小洞，幾天後的八月1日，男童嚴重昏迷，母親將他送醫搶救無效死亡。當地時間周四(20日)上午偵結此案，正式將母親以過失殺人罪起訴。

原來在男童死亡後，警方到家中訪視，驚訝發現，男童與41歲的母親是住在「比垃圾堆更髒亂」的家中，當時前往的警察被屋內的異味熏到嘔吐，形容「有如地獄」，屋內堆滿垃圾，到處都可看到老鼠與蟑螂逃竄，鄰居表示，在距離很遠的地方都能聞到他們家中傳出的異味。警方調查後更發現，男童出生後竟然連身分登記都沒有，是個「幽靈人口」。（於慶中／綜合外電報導）
