李泰祥12歲無師自通　一生創作精彩

【林佳樺╱綜合報導】音樂大師李泰祥出生台東馬蘭鄉偏遠小鎮，5歲隨雙親移居台北，他自小愛模仿父親拉小提琴，12歲無師自通學會音樂課本內所有曲子，被老師譽為天才，15歲參加台灣省文化促進會的小提琴比賽獲第1名，展開一生璀璨的音樂創作生涯。
 
李泰祥跨界做電影配樂、廣告音樂、流行歌曲創作，在1980年代屬少數能以「全職音樂創作」維生的作曲家，獲獎無數。生前亦多次為雲門舞集譜曲，參與國內外大型音樂演出。
 
1977年他與姚厚生等人催生「金韻獎」，隔年的第2屆比賽結識得意門生齊豫，她勇奪冠軍，師徒合作首張專輯《橄欖樹》獲廣大迴響。1988年當他罹患巴金森氏症後，仍持續創作，終其一生致力推動台灣本土及原住民音樂。
