凱瑞：何時准女性駕車沙國自訂

（法新社利雅德5日電） 美國國務卿凱瑞（JohnKerry）今天表示，應該由沙烏地阿拉伯自己決定允許婦女開車的時機。

凱瑞在利雅德記者會上說：「在美國，無論性別、族裔或其他條件皆為平等，這不是秘密。」

他補充說：「沙國自己國內的社會結構和其他問題，以及實行的時機，都應該由沙國自己來做決定」

數名沙國婦女10月某個週末開車上路公然抗議後，美國上週表示力挺沙國女性擁有開車的「普世權利」。

不過，凱瑞和沙國領導人會談之後表示：「沙國正在理性討論這個議題，只是我認為這件事最好交由與此有關的沙國人民來決定。」他並指出，每個人都知道美國對此事的立場。（譯者：中央社陳怡君）
